The Indian and Russian armies have concluded the tenth Exercise Indra 18 with a closing ceremony at Babina Military Station in Jhansi district, Uttar Pradesh, India.
This year’s Indo-Russian military exercise was carried out for 11 days to practice joint planning and culminated after a joint tactical exercise.
Exercise Indra 18 saw troops develop an understanding of transnational terrorism, interoperability and exchange of ideas and best practices on cordon and search operations, raid on the terrorist hideout, intelligence gathering and sharing, perception management, humanitarian laws and hostage rescue.

Russian Army commander 5th Army major general Tsekov Oleg Moosovich was quoted by The Hitavada as saying: “The key to the success of the exercise was perfect organisation and cooperation between both the nations.
“We are confident that our joint efforts will help in our efforts towards international peacekeeping, peace enforcement and assured that the time-tested friendship between both the nations will increase manifold by increasing their military cooperation in the future.”
