Nato-supported network isolation specialist Goldilock has upgraded its FireBreak product to deliver speed and control with an aim to provide an unbreachable layer of cyber defence against evolving threats.

These improvements cater to the varied demands of companies and the changing landscape of network environments.

Goldilock said that the updated version of FireBreak stands out as the inaugural all-encompassing network isolation solution, that integrates swift fibre-optic connectivity, redundant power sources and SIM options, along with extensive API integration capabilities.

This innovative amalgamation promises to deliver improved performance in terms of speed, uptime, manageability, and adaptability.

Consequently, organisations will be equipped with the capability to swiftly segregate essential systems during a cybersecurity breach.

FireBreak serves as a component in cybersecurity strategies, offering a line of defence that allows organisations to contain attacks, reduce damage, and secure customer data.

The hardware update provides with the option to select a connection type that aligns with their network infrastructure and bandwidth needs.

This translates to faster connectivity and enhanced network performance, which is said to be beneficial for those dependent on data-intensive applications, notes the company.

Moreover, the system ensures continued operation and protection of systems, even amidst power outages or network disruptions.

Software improvements bring about simplified and integrated security management, a swifter and more effective response to cyber threats, which reduces the necessity for manual intervention.

This grants greater control over network security and enables customisation according to specific requirements.

Goldilock CTO Richard Bate said: “Organisations are facing increasingly sophisticated and persistent cyber threats. Protecting against the potential consequences of a compromised network – from data breaches and financial losses to operational disruption and reputational damage – is therefore more critical than ever.

“By supercharging our FireBreak solution, we’re giving organisations more tools at their disposal to proactively protect critical assets, maintain business continuity, and put the power of control back into their hands.”

In January 2025, Goldilock released a cybersecurity threat forecast for 2025, warning of potential risks associated with malware driven by artificial intelligence (AI).
