Elbit Systems of America, the US subsidiary of Israeli defence company Elbit Systems, has won a five-year contract to produce spare parts for Aviators’ Night Vision Imaging System Head-Up Display system (ANVIS HUD) of the US Army.
Worth up to $50m, the indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) contract was awarded by Defense Logistics Agency on behalf of the US Army.

The ANVIS HUD is a day and night display that connects to the helmets of army helicopter pilots.
The system is designed to provide key information in front of the pilot’s eyes, eliminating the need to look down or inside the cockpit to view information from various sensors.
Under this contract, the company has secured an initial order for $17.9m, to be supplied until 2023.
Elbit Systems of America president and CEO Raanan Horowitz said: “Provisioning ANVIS HUD spares enables US Army pilots to have the equipment available to support aircraft readiness.
“Elbit Systems of America has a long history of supplying the ANVIS HUD, and we are dedicated to continuing to supply these systems that aid performance, increase operator situational awareness, and ultimately warfighter safety.”
The US subsidiary of the Israeli firm is responsible for delivering the US Army’s helmet-mounted displays in the UH-60, CH-47 and AH-64 helicopter fleets.
Recently, Elbit Systems of America secured the contract to upgrade the display on select US Army airframes.
Earlier this year, Defense Logistics Agency awarded Elbit Systems of America a contract to supply key components of Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV).
