MD Helicopters has secured a $1.4bn order from the US Army Contracting Command for MD 530F Cayuse Warrior attack helicopters.
The company will deliver six armed MD 530F Cayuse Warrior helicopters to the Kenya Defence Force (KDF), under the contract.

The contract also covers the delivery of initial logistics support (ILS) for the helicopters, associated systems and ground support equipment.
The deliveries are expected to take place from April to August 2019.
The US Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) has awarded a $323m contract to Meggitt Aircraft Braking Systems, a US-based subsidiary of Meggitt, to supply wheels, brakes and related spares for military aircraft platforms.
The scope of supply includes a range of depot-level spare parts for aircraft such as F-16 Fighting Falcon supersonic multi-role fighter jet, H-60 Blackhawk medium-lift utility helicopter, and CH-47 Chinook heavy-lift helicopter.

Boeing has been awarded an H-47 Chinook rotor blade support contract worth $160m by the US Army.
The company will provide maintenance repair and overhaul support for the modernisation of rotor blades of 450 H-47 Chinook heavy-lift helicopters deployed worldwide.
The contract will also see Boeing continuing to manage stock availability of all rotor blades.
The five-year contract will help improve the operational readiness of the H-47 Chinook helicopters.
Intelligent Waves has been awarded a prime position on a $12.1bn Information Technology Enterprise Solutions-3 Services (ITES-3S) contract awarded by the US Army Contracting Command.
The company will provide IT-related services, including cyber security, network/systems operation and maintenance, business process re-engineering, enterprise design, information assurance, integration and consolidation, as part of the contract.
The contract also includes IT education and training, supply chain management, as well as telecommunications/systems operation and maintenance.
The nine-year contract is managed by the US Army’s Computer Hardware, Enterprise Software and Solutions (CHESS) programme.
