BAE Systems’ subsidiary Bohemia Interactive Simulations (BISim) has initiated a strategic partnership with Rheinmetall to advance the creation of advanced simulation solutions for contemporary military training.  

BISim’s VBS4 and Blue IG products will be incorporated within the “Heavy Infantry Weapons Carrier” project, aimed at crafting firing and combat simulators to train the German Army’s Medium Forces.  

VBS4 provides a virtual training environment, enabling the creation and execution of military scenarios, while Blue IG offers a versatile, high-fidelity 3D image generator that supports a range of training applications across various domains.  

This partnership leverages BISim’s simulation technology expertise and Rheinmetall’s knowledge of military systems to bring forth enhanced training and simulation capabilities.  

The collaboration is expected to deliver practical, forward-looking solutions that address the intricacies of present and future combat scenarios.  

These advancements aim to equip global customers with the necessary tools for operational preparedness and strategic superiority.

This announcement comes after at the Defence Simulation Education and Technology conference, BISim chief product officer Pete Morrison outlined how the company is evolving its solutions to address the demands of modern warfare, with a particular emphasis on ongoing conflicts such as Ukraine.
