Bell Textron has selected Triumph Systems & Support to supply hydraulic components for the Bell 360 Invictus aircraft.

The attack and reconnaissance aircraft is Bell’s offering for the US Army Future Attack and Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA) competition.

Bell Textron has been selected to participate in the competitive prototype demonstration phase of the programme.

Triumph System & Support’s Fluid Power & Actuation operating company will supply the hydraulic pump for the prototype.

Additionally, Triumph will provide reservoir assemblies. The products are based on technologies and designs developed by Triumph Fluid Power & Actuation for the Bell 525 Relentless.

Based out of Clemmons, North Carolina, US, Triumph Fluid Power & Actuation is the sole supplier for the programme.

Triumph Systems & Support executive vice-president William Kircher said: “We are excited to supply hydraulic products for Bell’s offering for the FARA programme.

“Our ability to apply previously developed designs and technology will minimise technical and schedule risks for the program and supports Bell’s efforts to meet the US Army’s mandatory execution and funding profile requirements for the FARA award.”
