The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 5.38% in November 2022 when compared with October 2022.
Out of the aerospace, defence & security industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 19.64% share in November 2022, recording an increase of 0.36% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in the US’s aerospace, defence & security industry’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 97.34% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s aerospace, defence & security industry in November 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 44.36% in November 2022, registering a 3.05% decline over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Research Scientists claimed a 24.69% share, a decrease of 16.89% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 18.01%, registering a 7.96% decline from October 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 5.58%, down 3.26% over the previous month.
Top five aerospace, defence & security companies in the US’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 9.93% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s aerospace, defence & security industry during November 2022 over October 2022.
Northrop Grumman posted 519 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a drop of 17.09% over the previous month, followed by Lockheed Martin with 489 jobs and a 1.24% growth. General Dynamics with 463 IT jobs and Leidos Holdings with 450 jobs, recorded a 31.91% growth and a 169.46% growth, respectively, while Raytheon Technologies recorded a decline of 17.21% with 404 job postings during November 2022.
Mid Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Mid Level jobs held a share of 46.14%, down by 4.02% from October 2022. Junior Level positions with a 38.38% share, registered a decline of 12.65% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 14.76% share, down 4.18% over October 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.72%, recording a month-on-month decline of 35.71%.
