The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 14.97% in November 2022 when compared with October 2022.
Out of the aerospace, defence & security industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 16.82% share in November 2022, recording a decrease of 0.79% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 47.89% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s aerospace, defence & security industry during November 2022 over October 2022.
James Fisher and Sons posted 27 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a drop of 67.47% over the previous month, followed by Leidos Holdings with 27 jobs and an 800% growth. QinetiQ Group with 25 IT jobs and Airbus with 18 jobs, recorded a 74.75% decline and a 63.64% growth, respectively, while Boeing recorded a decline of 17.65% with 14 job postings during November 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 60.71%, down by 54.46% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 26.19% share, registered a decline of 41.33% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 12.5% share, flat growth over October 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.6%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
