
Singapore’s aerospace, defence & security industry registered a 2.7% rise in IT hiring activity in June 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 3.59% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.
Out of the aerospace, defence & security industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 13% share in June 2022, recording a decrease of 4.24% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Singapore’s aerospace, defence & security industry’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Singapore’s aerospace, defence & security industry in June 2022.
1) Database and Network Administrators and Architects recorded a share of 43.48% in June 2022, registering a 66.67% growth over the previous month.
2) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a 39.13% share, an increase of 28.57% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 8.7%, registering a flat growth from May 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 4.35%, down 75% over the previous month.
Top five aerospace, defence & security companies in Singapore’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 27.78% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Singapore’s aerospace, defence & security industry during June 2022 over May 2022.
Thales posted 13 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a rise of 225% over the previous month, followed by Raytheon Technologies with 6 jobs and a 53.85% drop. Airbus with 2 IT jobs and Rolls-Royce with 1 jobs, recorded a 100% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Calspan recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during June 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 69.57%, up by 23.08% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 26.09% share, registered an increase of 50% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 4.35% share, flat growth over May 2022.
