Singapore’s aerospace, defence & security industry registered a 2.6% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 8.69% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.

Out of the aerospace, defence & security industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 14.55% share in July 2022, recording a decrease of 0.51% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Singapore’s aerospace, defence & security industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Singapore’s aerospace, defence & security industry in July 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 66.67% in July 2022, registering an 11.11% growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 13.33% share, a decrease of 80% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 13.33%, registering a 100% rise from June 2022.

4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 6.67%, flat growth over the previous month.

Top five aerospace, defence & security companies in Singapore’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Singapore’s aerospace, defence & security industry during July 2022 over June 2022.

Thales posted 10 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a drop of 23.08% over the previous month, followed by Raytheon Technologies with 4 jobs and a 33.33% drop. Airbus with 1 IT jobs, recorded a 50% decline.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 60%, down by 43.75% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with a 33.33% share, registered a decline of 16.67% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 6.67% share, flat growth over June 2022.
