Singapore’s aerospace, defence & security industry registered a 12.1% rise in IT hiring activity in November 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 13.89% in November 2021 when compared with October 2021.

Out of the aerospace, defence & security industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 16.42% share in November 2021, recording an increase of 4.82% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Singapore’s aerospace, defence & security industry’s IT recruitment activity in November 2021

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Singapore’s aerospace, defence & security industry in November 2021.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 48.57% in November 2021, registering a 70% growth over the previous month.

2) Computer Support Specialists claimed a 22.86% share, an increase of 166.67% over the previous month.

3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 20%, registering a 250% rise from October 2021.

4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 8.57%, up 50% over the previous month.

Top five aerospace, defence & security companies in Singapore’s IT recruitment activity in November 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 112.5% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Singapore’s aerospace, defence & security industry during November 2021 over October 2021.

Thales posted 16 IT jobs in November 2021 and registered a rise of 77.78% over the previous month, followed by Raytheon Technologies with 8 jobs and a 166.67% growth. The Boeing with 7 IT jobs and Rohde & SchwarzKG with 2 jobs, recorded a 250% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Rolls-Royce recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during November 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 48.57%, up by 41.67% from October 2021. Mid Level positions with a 37.14% share, registered an increase of 333.33% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 14.29% share, up 400% over October 2021.
