
Singapore’s aerospace, defence & security industry registered a 1.3% drop in IT hiring activity in August 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 3.69% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.
Out of the aerospace, defence & security industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 13.88% share in August 2022, recording an increase of 0.35% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Singapore’s aerospace, defence & security industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Singapore’s aerospace, defence & security industry in August 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 47.37% in August 2022, registering a 10% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 36.84% share, an increase of 250% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 15.79%, registering a flat growth from July 2022.
Top five aerospace, defence & security companies in Singapore’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Singapore’s aerospace, defence & security industry during August 2022 over July 2022.
Thales posted 17 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a rise of 70% over the previous month, followed by Raytheon Technologies with 2 jobs and a 50% drop. .
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 57.89%, up by 22.22% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 26.32% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 15.79% share, up 200% over July 2022.
