
India’s aerospace, defence & security industry registered a 3.4% drop in IT hiring activity in September 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 9.49% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.
Out of the aerospace, defence & security industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 26.11% share in September 2022, recording a decrease of 3.88% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in India’s aerospace, defence & security industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.62% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s aerospace, defence & security industry in September 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 64.01% in September 2022, registering a 4.15% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 27.34% share, an increase of 29.51% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 3.11%, registering a 50% decline from August 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 2.77%, down 46.67% over the previous month.
Top five aerospace, defence & security companies in India’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 3.28% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s aerospace, defence & security industry during September 2022 over August 2022.
Elettronica posted 120 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a rise of 71.43% over the previous month, followed by The Boeing with 108 jobs and a 28.48% drop. Raytheon Technologies with 18 IT jobs and Thales with 12 jobs, recorded a 43.75% decline and a 200% growth, respectively, while NewRocket recorded a decline of 58.82% with 7 job postings during September 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 61.25%, up by 35.11% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 37.37% share, registered a decline of 32.92% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 1.04% share, flat growth over August 2022.
