
India’s aerospace, defence & security industry registered a 14.4% drop in IT hiring activity in October 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 16.37% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.
Out of the aerospace, defence & security industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 26.72% share in October 2022, recording a decrease of 1.17% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in India’s aerospace, defence & security industry’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 97.84% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s aerospace, defence & security industry in October 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 64.94% in October 2022, registering a 16.2% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 23.38% share, a decrease of 30.77% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 3.9%, registering a flat growth from September 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 3.03%, down 12.5% over the previous month.
Top five aerospace, defence & security companies in India’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 16.09% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s aerospace, defence & security industry during October 2022 over September 2022.
Boeing posted 116 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered a rise of 7.41% over the previous month, followed by Elettronica with 50 jobs and a 58.33% drop. Raytheon Technologies with 38 IT jobs and Airbus with 9 jobs, recorded an 111.11% growth and a 200% growth, respectively, while Thales recorded a decline of 50% with 6 job postings during October 2022.
Mid Level job postings dominate in October 2022
Mid Level jobs held a share of 54.98%, up by 18.69% from September 2022. Junior Level positions with a 43.72% share, registered a decline of 41.28% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 1.3% share, down 25% over September 2022.
