
India’s aerospace, defence & security industry registered a 13.7% drop in IT hiring activity in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 8.96% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.
Out of the aerospace, defence & security industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 29.67% share in July 2022, recording a decrease of 0.82% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in India’s aerospace, defence & security industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 99.59% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s aerospace, defence & security industry in July 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 63.11% in July 2022, registering a 24.14% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 22.13% share, a decrease of 31.65% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 9.02%, registering a flat growth from June 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 3.28%, down 27.27% over the previous month.
Top five aerospace, defence & security companies in India’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 23.31% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s aerospace, defence & security industry during July 2022 over June 2022.
The Boeing posted 91 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a drop of 18.02% over the previous month, followed by Raytheon Technologies with 52 jobs and a 13.33% drop. Elettronica with 40 IT jobs and NewRocket with 13 jobs, recorded a 46.67% decline and a 35% decrease, respectively, while Rolls-Royce recorded a flat growth with 8 job postings during July 2022.
Mid Level job postings dominate in July 2022
Mid Level jobs held a share of 54.1%, down by 10.81% from June 2022. Junior Level positions with a 43.85% share, registered a decline of 18.94% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 2.05% share, down 73.68% over June 2022.
