
Germany’s aerospace, defence & security industry registered a 5.1% rise in IT hiring activity in August 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 5.02% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.
Out of the aerospace, defence & security industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 10.33% share in August 2022, recording an increase of 0.72% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Germany’s aerospace, defence & security industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s aerospace, defence & security industry in August 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 40.87% in August 2022, registering a 28.79% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 29.57% share, an increase of 88.89% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 13.04%, registering a 275% rise from July 2022.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 8.7%, up 150% over the previous month.
Top five aerospace, defence & security companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 38.03% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s aerospace, defence & security industry during August 2022 over July 2022.
ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH posted 46 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Airbus with 25 jobs and an 8.7% growth. Rheinmetall with 12 IT jobs and MTU Aero Engines with 12 jobs, recorded a 42.86% decline and a 29.41% decrease, respectively, while Hensoldt Holding Germany recorded a decline of 70% with 3 job postings during August 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 65.22%, down by 10.71% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 26.09% share, registered an increase of 100% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 8.7% share, down 28.57% over July 2022.
