
Germany’s aerospace, defence & security industry registered a 4.2% rise in IT hiring activity in May 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 12.26% in May 2022 when compared with April 2022.
Out of the aerospace, defence & security industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 4.95% share in May 2022, recording a decrease of 1.63% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Germany’s aerospace, defence & security industry’s IT recruitment activity in May 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.54% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s aerospace, defence & security industry in May 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 51.82% in May 2022, registering a 20.22% decline over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Research Scientists claimed a 24.09% share, a decrease of 19.51% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 10.22%, registering a 12.5% decline from April 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 8.76%, flat growth over the previous month.
Top five aerospace, defence & security companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in May 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 20.95% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s aerospace, defence & security industry during May 2022 over April 2022.
Rheinmetall posted 67 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered a drop of 44.63% over the previous month, followed by Airbus with 21 jobs and an 8.7% drop. MTU Aero Engines with 16 IT jobs and Thales with 7 jobs, recorded a 700% growth and a 250% growth, respectively, while Isar Aerospace Technologies recorded a flat growth with 6 job postings during May 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 73.72%, down by 17.89% from April 2022. Mid Level positions with a 20.44% share, registered a decline of 33.33% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 5.84% share, up 60% over April 2022.
