
Germany’s aerospace, defence & security industry registered a 3.4% rise in IT hiring activity in September 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 0.7% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.
Out of the aerospace, defence & security industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 15.71% share in September 2021, recording an increase of 0.11% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Germany’s aerospace, defence & security industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.54% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s aerospace, defence & security industry in September 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 59.12% in September 2021, registering a 22.73% flat growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 20.44% share, an increase of 115.38% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 10.22%, registering a 12.5% decline from August 2021.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 5.11%, up 133.33% over the previous month.
Top five aerospace, defence & security companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 26.67% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s aerospace, defence & security industry during September 2021 over August 2021.
Airbus posted 44 IT jobs in September 2021 and registered a rise of 12.82% over the previous month, followed by Rohde & SchwarzKG with 24 jobs and a 9.09% growth. General Dynamics with 20 IT jobs and Thales with 18 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 12.5% flat growth, respectively, while The Boeing recorded a decline of 38.46% with 8 job postings during September 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 56.2%, up by 6.94% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with a 27.01% share, registered an increase of 164.29% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 16.79% share, down 11.54% over August 2021.
