France’s aerospace, defence & security industry registered a flat growth in IT hiring activity in June 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 6.61% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.

Out of the aerospace, defence & security industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 5.87% share in June 2022, recording a decrease of 1.07% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in France’s aerospace, defence & security industry’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.25% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s aerospace, defence & security industry in June 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 43.86% in June 2022, registering a 34.21% decline over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 35.09% share, a decrease of 20% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 7.89%, registering a 43.75% decline from May 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 7.02%, down 60% over the previous month.

Top five aerospace, defence & security companies in France’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 27.27% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s aerospace, defence & security industry during June 2022 over May 2022.

Airbus posted 42 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a rise of 20% over the previous month, followed by Thales with 26 jobs and a 25.71% drop. Naval Group with 23 IT jobs and Safran with 19 jobs, recorded a 53.33% growth and a 69.84% decrease, respectively, while Leidos Holdings recorded a decline of 66.67% with 2 job postings during June 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 84.21%, down by 21.31% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 12.28% share, registered a decline of 56.25% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 3.51% share, down 66.67% over May 2022.
