The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 5.89% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.
Out of the aerospace, defence & security industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 15.99% share in September 2022, recording a decrease of 0.69% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 20% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia’s aerospace, defence & security industry during September 2022 over August 2022.
The Boeing posted 25 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a drop of 40.48% over the previous month, followed by Thales with 13 jobs and a 62.5% growth. Raytheon Technologies with 7 IT jobs and Northrop Grumman with 4 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 33.33% growth, respectively, while Cubic recorded a decline of 40% with 3 job postings during September 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 47.27%, down by 35% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 45.45% share, registered a decline of 13.79% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 7.27% share, down 55.56% over August 2022.
