The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 17.01% in December 2021 when compared with November 2021.
Out of the aerospace, defence & security industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 29.81% share in December 2021, recording an increase of 0.59% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 12.5% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia’s aerospace, defence & security industry during December 2021 over November 2021.
The Boeing posted 105 IT jobs in December 2021 and registered a rise of 8.25% over the previous month, followed by Leidos Holdings with 25 jobs and a 26.47% drop. Thales with 22 IT jobs and Lockheed Martin with 15 jobs, recorded a 4.76% growth and an 87.5% growth, respectively, while L3Harris Technologies recorded a flat growth with 13 job postings during December 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in December 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 52.76%, up by 0.96% from November 2021. Mid Level positions with a 31.66% share, registered an increase of 28.57% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 15.58% share, down 8.82% over November 2021.
