September 2021 has seen an increase of 4.93% in the overall hiring activity when compared with August 2021.
IT jobs accounted for a 15.17% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in September 2021, registering a decrease of 0.77% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in September 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 71.49% in September 2021, a 1.59% rise over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 16.16% in September 2021, marking a 37.14% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 4.71% in September 2021, a 33.33% drop from August 2021.

Top five auto companies in Asia-Pacific’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 27.07% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s auto industry during September 2021 over previous month.
Robert Bosch posted 238 IT jobs in September 2021 and registered a decline of 17.93% over the previous month, followed by Li Auto with 114 jobs and a 267.74% growth. Compagnie Generale des Etablissements Michelin with 54 IT jobs and ZF Friedrichshafen with 53 jobs, recorded an 184.21% rise and a 20.45% rise, respectively, while AB Volvo recorded a 220% increase with 48 job postings during September 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s auto industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s auto industry IT hiring activity with a 50.28% share in September 2021, a 9.8% increase over August 2021. China featured next with a 36.25% share, up 2.87% over the previous month. Australia recorded a 6.4% share, a growth of 42.5% compared with August 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 64.2%, up by 6.12% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with a 27.83% share, registered a growth of 10.71% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 7.74% share, down 9.21% over August 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.22%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
