Israel aerospace, defence & security industry registered an 8.3% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 3.74% in July 2021 compared with June 2021.

Out of the aerospace, defence & security industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 32.21% share in July 2021, recording an increase of 1.44% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Israel aerospace, defence & security industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Israel aerospace, defence & security industry in July 2021.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 53.85% in July 2021, a 16.67% growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 30.77% share, an increase of 14.29% over the previous month.

3) Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 11.54%, registering a 50% rise from June 2021.

4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 3.85%, flat growth over the previous month.

Top five aerospace, defence & security companies in Israel IT recruitment activity in July 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 19.05% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Israel aerospace, defence & security industry during July 2021 over June 2021.

Elbit Systems posted 17 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a drop of 5.56% over the previous month, followed by Thales with 3 jobs and a flat growth. L3Harris Technologies with 2 IT jobs and Teledyne Technologies with 2 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Roboteam recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during July 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 73.08%, up by 58.33% from June 2021. Entry Level positions with a 19.23% share, a flat growth compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 7.69% share, down 60% over June 2021.
