The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 37.41% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.
Out of the aerospace, defence & security industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 10.17% share in August 2021, recording an increase of 1.64% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in France’s aerospace, defence & security industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.01% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s aerospace, defence & security industry in August 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 72.19% in August 2021, registering a 61.62% decline over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 10.6% share, a decrease of 36% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 6.62%, registering a 37.5% decline from July 2021.
4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 6.62%, down 44.44% over the previous month.
Top five aerospace, defence & security companies in France’s IT recruitment activity in August 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 56.85% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s aerospace, defence & security industry during August 2021 over July 2021.
Thales posted 116 IT jobs in August 2021 and registered a drop of 59.44% over the previous month, followed by Airbus with 23 jobs and a 25.81% drop. Leidos Holdings with 3 IT jobs and Safran with 3 jobs, recorded a 50% flat growth and a 78.57% decrease, respectively, while Naval Group recorded a decline of 70% with 3 job postings during August 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 84.77%, down by 56.01% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with an 11.92% share, registered a decline of 56.1% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 3.31% share, down 70.59% over July 2021.
