Consulting and engineering services provider Tetra Tech has received a contract for architect-engineer (A-E) services throughout the Republic of Korea.
Valued at $100m, the five-year contract has been awarded by the US Army Corps of Engineers, Far East District (FED).
Headquartered in Camp Humphreys, Pyeongtaek, Republic of Korea, the FED is one of four districts of the Pacific Ocean Division.
The FED is the engineering, design, and construction agent for all US Department of Defense agencies in South Korea.
Tetra Tech chairman and chief executive officer Dan Batrack said: “The US Army Corps of Engineers has been a valued client for more than 40 years.
“We look forward to supporting the Far East District in its mission to contribute significantly to the peace and security in the Pacific region.”

By GlobalDataUnder the multiple-award contract, Tetra Tech will be responsible for delivering A-E technical services in support of the US Army, the US Air Force, and other federal agencies.
As part of the project, the company will carry out site investigations, and prepare engineering studies, conceptual designs and full design documents, in addition to providing planning and construction management services throughout South Korea.
Projects may include the design of new structures, as well as the upgrade and enhancement of the existing infrastructure, including the adoption of the latest technical advancements in water delivery systems.
Furthermore, the company will help advance sustainability and resilience in design and incorporate Leadership in Environmental Engineering and Design (LEED) features into projects completed under the current agreement.
