The Netherlands Defence Materiel Organisation (DMO) has awarded a contract to Saab to provide support services and upgrade the simulators of the army’s Mobile Combat Training Centre (MCTC).
The latest Skr115m ($14m) contract is a two-year extension and includes an option for one additional year of support.

Saab Dynamics Business Area Training & Simulation business unit head Åsa Thegström said: “Since many years we’ve had a very close and good cooperation with the Netherlands Army where we together have made sure that their soldiers are ready for challenges.
“This extension, from an eminent Nato member, is a clear proof that the combat training centre meets their high standards and that our support is relevant and adapted to their needs.”
The company has been responsible for providing support to the MCTC since it delivered the centre to the Netherlands Army in the early 2000s.
It has since then been upgraded and modernised with the addition of the latest advanced features.
