Science Applications International Corp (SAIC) has secured a position on the $1.8bn Personnel and Readiness Infrastructure Support Management (PRISM) Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) vehicle.

This initiative aims to expedite the US Department of Defense’s (DoD) acquisition of essential services.

The contract spans one base year with four optional extension years.

The PRISM contract facilitates the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness (OUSD P&R) and its partners by offering innovative, cost-efficient services.

It employs Streamline Task Order Ordering Procedures to reduce acquisition lead time and enhance process flexibility.

The MATOC features two distinct pools: the Personnel and Readiness (P&R) Pool and the Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS) Pool.

This multi-tenant vehicle leverages tools such as flexible contract types including Firm-Fixed Price (FFP), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), or Hybrid task orders.

It further accelerates procurement acquisition lead time via streamlined task order ordering procedures and technical direction letters.

SAIC’s role under the contract involves enhancing DoD readiness through advanced data integration and real-time analytics.

These efforts aim to improve operational workflows, strategic decision-making, and foster a proactive defence community.

This contribution is expected to strengthen national security with increased efficiency and impact.

US Army Business Group executive vice-president and manager Josh Jackson said: “Under the PRISM MATOC, SAIC aims to enhance the operational capabilities of the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel & Readiness (OUSD P&R) and its Directorates.

“We steadfastly commit to providing innovative and cost-effective services as well as leveraging expertise in technology integration, data analytics, and mission support to empower OUSD P&R to streamline operations, optimise readiness, and ensure a resilient and agile defence personnel framework.”

In February, the OUSD P&R released the final RFP for its PRISM acquisition effort.

Last month, Guidehouse also secured a position on the PRISM contract.
