By GlobalDataFeaturing v-hull technology, the Roshel Senator MRAP is designed to be provide increased vehicle and crew survivability by minimising the mine blast effects.
The V-shaped design of mine-protected vehicle helps in improving survivability during explosive attacks, such as landmines and IEDs by directing the force of the explosion away from the vehicle’s cabin.
This design helps absorb and disperse the explosive energy, offering better protection for occupants. The Senator has high ground clearance, 6.7L turbo diesel engine, and four-wheel drive to provide efficient off-road capabilities.
Beyond production, the Michigan site will also function as a maintenance centre for vehicles already deployed throughout the US.
This will provide continuous support for our partners in defence and law enforcement. Furthermore, the expansion signifies Roshel’s investment in bolstering the local economy through job creation and community engagement.
In a statement, the company said: “The opening of our Shelby Township facility marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Roshel. As we continue to innovate, adapt, and expand, we look forward to strengthening our partnerships and delivering solutions that meet the highest standards of compliance, performance, and reliability.”
In 2023, Roshe’s Senator MRAP platform completed STANAG 4569 AEP 55 level 2 and level 2a/b ballistic and blast tests. The ballistic and blast testing was carried out by a US-based Nato certified laboratory.
