Out of the aerospace, defence & security industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 16.94% share in November 2022, recording an increase of 0.76% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 32.43% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia’s aerospace, defence & security industry during November 2022 over October 2022.
Boeing posted 29 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a drop of 17.14% over the previous month, followed by Thales with 12 jobs and a 33.33% growth. Lockheed Martin with 4 IT jobs and Raytheon Technologies with 3 jobs, recorded a 33.33% decline and a 200% growth, respectively, while QinetiQ Group recorded a decline of 91.3% with 2 job postings during November 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 75%, down by 19.23% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 19.64% share, registered a decline of 57.69% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 5.36% share, flat growth over October 2022.
