The industry’s overall hiring increased by 1.22% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.
Out of the aerospace, defence & security industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 12.3% share in September 2022, recording an increase of 0.93% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 88.24% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Canada’s aerospace, defence & security industry during September 2022 over August 2022.
The Boeing posted 23 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a rise of 228.57% over the previous month, followed by CAE with 15 jobs and a 25% growth. Thales with 11 IT jobs and Bombardier with 10 jobs, recorded a 175% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Raytheon Technologies recorded an increase of 400% with 5 job postings during September 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 46.05%, up by 16.67% from August 2022. Entry Level positions with a 27.63% share, registered an increase of 600% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 25% share, up 11.76% over August 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.32%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
