US-based company Northrop Grumman’s IT hiring rose 1.0% in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 1.95% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 24.73% share in the company’s total hiring activity in July 2022, and recorded a 1.49% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Northrop Grumman IT hiring in July 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Northrop Grumman, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 42.01% in July 2022, and a 22.57% drop over June 2022, while Computer and Information Research Scientists claimed a share of 34.86% in July 2022, and registered a decline of 5.53%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 15.99% in July 2022, a 34.27% drop from June 2022.

North America drives IT hiring at Northrop Grumman

North America emerged as the leading region in the global aerospace, defence & security IT hiring activity in July 2022 with a 96.77% share, which marked a 17.42% drop over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 2.38%, registering a 36.36% month-on-month decline. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with a 0.68% share and a 100% rise over June 2022.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 0.17% and a month-on-month flat growth.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s aerospace, defence & security industry IT hiring activity with a 96.77% share in July 2022, a 17.42% decline over June 2022. The UK featured next with a 2.38% share, down 36.36% over the previous month. Australia recorded a 0.68% share, an increase of 100% compared with June 2022.

Mid Level jobs lead Northrop Grumman IT hiring activity in July 2022

Mid Level jobs held a share of 59.52%, down by 15.66% from June 2022. Junior Level positions with a 28.57% share, a decline of 19.62% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 11.56% share, down 20% over June 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.34%, recording a month-on-month decline of 50%.
