Bharat Dynamics (BDL) has signed a contract to supply the Milan 2T, a second-generation European anti-tank guided missile, to the Indian Army.
The missile has a range of approximately 2km and is equipped with a tandem warhead and MIRA thermal sight to provide night-firing ability, according to the Hindu Business Line.
The missile is a wire-guided semi-automatic command to line-of-sight (SACLOS) missile, which means the sight of the launch unit has to be aimed at the target to guide the missile, according to DefenseWorld.
BDL is a defence public sector undertaking and the Rs3bn ($66.8m) deal was signed with the Indian Government.
