The Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) and BAE Systems have submitted a joint bid, offering the CV90 combat vehicle to Slovakia.

The move comes after Slovakia’s Ministry of Defence released tenders and sent requests for proposals to several countries, for 152 new infantry fighting vehicles (IFV) in multiple variants.

The vehicle is available in 15 variants.

There are currently over 1,300 CV90s of numerous variants in service with several countries such as Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.

Last year, BAE Systems signed a seven-year agreement to support the availability and modernisation of Norway’s CV90 fleet.
