Sweden’s aerospace, defence & security industry registered a 3.0% drop in IT hiring activity in December 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 1.36% in December 2021 when compared with November 2021.

Out of the aerospace, defence & security industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 30.67% share in December 2021, recording a decrease of 4.82% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Sweden’s aerospace, defence & security industry’s IT recruitment activity in December 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Sweden’s aerospace, defence & security industry in December 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 83.33% in December 2021, registering a 40% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed an 8.33% share, an increase of 200% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 5.56%, registering a 60% decline from November 2021.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 2.78%, down 83.33% over the previous month.
Top five aerospace, defence & security companies in Sweden’s IT recruitment activity in December 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Sweden’s aerospace, defence & security industry during December 2021 over November 2021.
The Boeing posted 19 IT jobs in December 2021 and registered a drop of 53.66% over the previous month, followed by Saab with 16 jobs and a 30.43% drop. RUAG International with 1 IT jobs, recorded a flat growth.
Junior Level job postings dominate in December 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 44.44%, down by 20% from November 2021. Mid Level positions with a 36.11% share, registered a decline of 65.79% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 19.44% share, down 22.22% over November 2021.
