November 2021 has seen an increase of 0.87% in the overall hiring activity when compared with October 2021.
IT jobs accounted for a 6.26% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in November 2021, registering a decrease of 0.23% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in November 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 71.55% in November 2021, a 13.51% drop over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 11.93% in November 2021, marking a 1.03% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 11.06% in November 2021, a 4.3% drop from October 2021.

Top five apparel companies in Europe’s IT recruitment activity in November 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 12.95% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s apparel industry during November 2021 over previous month.
Amazon posted 276 IT jobs in November 2021 and registered a decline of 41.03% over the previous month, followed by Zalando with 116 jobs and a 65.71% growth. H & M Hennes & Mauritz with 71 IT jobs and Schwarz Gruppe with 60 jobs, recorded a 20.34% rise and a 172.73% rise, respectively, while Farfetch recorded a 100% increase with 28 job postings during November 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s apparel industry
Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s apparel industry IT hiring activity with a 27.08% share in November 2021, a 10.1% increase over October 2021. The UK featured next with a 24.97% share, down 26.91% over the previous month. Sweden recorded a 10.19% share, a growth of 17.14% compared with October 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 66.34%, down by 13.87% from October 2021. Mid Level positions with a 16.89% share, registered a decline of 21.39% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 16.77% share, up 9.76% over October 2021.
