The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 4.26% in October 2021 when compared with September 2021.
Out of the apparel industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.53% share in October 2021, recording a decrease of 0.81% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 26.17% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s apparel industry during October 2021 over September 2021.
Amazon posted 88 IT jobs in October 2021 and registered a drop of 37.59% over the previous month, followed by ASOS with 25 jobs and an 8.7% growth. John Lewis Partnership with 16 IT jobs and Marks and Spencer Group with 15 jobs, recorded a 33.33% decline and a 25% flat growth, respectively, while Walgreens Boots Alliance recorded a flat growth with 14 job postings during October 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 67.44%, down by 35.84% from September 2021. Mid Level positions with an 18.14% share, registered a decline of 36.07% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 14.42% share, up 10.71% over September 2021.
