TeleCommunication Systems (TCS) has been selected by the US Army to provide consulting, information technology (IT) and support services under a blanket purchase agreement (BPA).
The BPA allows TCS to bid on task orders for IT service management, network services, data centre management, distributed computing and application management.
The contract also allows the provision of communications systems and services to the US Army for another five years.
Under the BPA, the value of awards amounts to $5m a year until January 2013.
TCS government solutions senior vice-president and general manager Michael Bristol said that the company was selected for the contract because it has been providing enterprise IT services the defence community for over two decades.
