IT jobs accounted for a 7.23% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in September 2021, registering a decrease of 1.11% over the last three-month average share.
Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations leads by classification in September 2021
Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 40.54% in September 2021, a 6.25% drop over the previous month. Computer and Information Research Scientists came in next, claiming a share of 29.73% in September 2021, marking an 83.33% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers with a share of 18.92% in September 2021, a 41.67% drop from August 2021.

Vectrus posted 11 IT jobs in September 2021 and registered a decline of 57.69% over the previous month, followed by L3Harris Technologies with 10 jobs and a 900% growth. Elbit Systems with 5 IT jobs and Thales with 4 jobs, recorded a 16.67% drop and a 42.86% drop, respectively, while General Dynamics recorded a flat growth with 3 job postings during September 2021.

Israel commanded a leading presence in the region’s aerospace, defence & security industry IT hiring activity with a 40.54% share in September 2021, a 150% increase over August 2021. Kuwait featured next with a 29.73% share, down 54.17% over the previous month. Qatar recorded a 10.81% share, a drop of 33.33% compared with August 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 54.05%, down by 31.03% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with a 35.14% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.
