Satellite networking technology services provider Gilat Satellite Networks has been awarded several projects to support the Latin American armed forces.
Through its local partner Newsat, Gilat’s technology will provide turnkey solutions for fixed, airborne, maritime and mobile military applications.
Gilat is a provider of defence satellite communication technology. Its portfolio includes Gilat’s SyEdge II-c platform, modems, as well as antenna terminals.
The company’s range of fixed and mobile communications solutions are used to support the general command, army, navy and airforce security in Latin America.
Gilat Global Broadband Networks senior vice-president Michal Aharonov said: “Gilat is the solution of choice due to its unique and efficient technology that provides support for multiple mobility and fixed applications.
“In Latin America, our long-time local partner, Newsat, brings strong knowledge and expertise in managing and integrating the complex and battle proven military projects, leveraging Gilat’s equipment for satellite communication which is specifically tailored to meet a wide variety of global defence needs.”
