US President Joe Biden has said the country will provide full support to replenish depleted batteries of Israel’s Iron Dome air defence system.
The announcement was made shortly after Israel and Hamas agreed to end the 11-day conflict.

Iron Dome is a combat proven truck-towed, multi-mission mobile air defence system developed by Rafael Advanced Defence Systems.
During a telephone conversation with Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Biden assured his support for Israel’s defences and security in the future.
Biden said: “The Prime Minister [of Israel, Benyamin Netanyahu]… shared with me his appreciation for the Iron Dome system, which our nations developed together and which has saved lives of countless Israeli citizens, both Arabs and Jews.”
