Envistacom has secured a contract from US Army Contracting Command to support the Army’s Program Executive Office Command, Control and Communications-Tactical (PEO C3T) and Project Manager Tactical Network (PM Tactical Network).
The award on the ten-year $5.1bn Global Tactical Communications Systems (GTACS) II contract vehicle will support network modernisation and deliver improved, cyber hardened capabilities for the army across the US Department of Defense (DoD).
Under the contract, the company will deliver systems integration and cyber engineering services to upgrade the army’s current critical tactical programmes.
The contract will also include the delivery of advanced virtualised transport technologies. This will include waveforms and other related communications applications.
Services delivered will provide an inherently resilient next-generation communications infrastructure to the DoD.
The vehicle will extend support to the US Army’s Unified Network Priority and include modernisation of its network capabilities. This will assist command and control across vast areas.
