Wyle has secured a contract for supply of engineering and logistical analysis in support of the US Army’s ground combat systems and tactical wheeled vehicles.
Awarded by the Defense Technical Information Center’s Reliability Information Analysis Center, the $39.9m contract requires delivery of support to both the Program Executive Office for Combat Support and Combat Service Support (PEO CS&CSS) and the Program Executive Office for Ground Combat Systems (PEO GCS).
Both PEO CS&CSS and PEO GCS are located at the Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command’s (TACOM) Life Cycle Management Command in Warren, Michigan, US.
As part of the contract, the company will conduct comprehensive quantitative investigations and analysis of maintenance practices, as well as logistics structured reliability and maintainability engineering to help refine and enhance the platforms’ sustainability initiatives.
Specific tasks will include carrying out multiple engineering analysis to support the development, integration, sustainment and demilitarisation of ground combat systems, combat service support systems, tactical wheeled vehicles and force projection equipment, including various ground vehicles.
The support services are scheduled to enhance the reliability of ground combat systems, wheeled vehicles, associated subsystems and related test equipment and infrastructure, while simultaneously reducing their overall life cycle costs.

Some of the contract work is scheduled to be carried out at the company’s facilities, which it claims to be capable of offering both natural and induced environments with some of the largest commercially available climatic test chambers and vibration systems.
