Northrop Grumman has received a multi-million dollar contract from the US Army to continue the provision of mission logistics services.
The $205m cost-plus-fixed-fee contract includes one base year and two one-year options, and requires the company to provide mission logistics services for combat brigades training at the National Training Center in Fort Irwin, California, US.
Specifically, the company will provide a full range of services, including maintenance, supply and transportation, as well as tactical logistics support, staff planning and operations.
Northrop Grumman Technical Services Mission Solutions and Readiness division vice-president and general manager Greg Schmidt said: "Our demonstrated superior performance on this contract has provided our valued army customer with world-class support and unparalleled response to meet warfighting requirements.
"Northrop Grumman’s win ensures that continued innovation for affordability in providing logistical support services will be delivered to the army by a team committed to excellence and dedicated to the mission."
Northrop Grumman Technical Services Fort Irwin Support Services programme manager David Booze said: "We look forward to continuing our support to the 60,000 to 80,000 warfighters who train annually at the National Training Center and Fort Irwin."
