Valued at $7.2bn, the GISS contract is designed to acquire flexible, comprehensive and cost-effective services to support the army’s requirement for fully integrated intelligence, security and information operations and related support.

In particular, the contract will provide support services for army intelligence missions, including intelligence analysis, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems, security systems, electronic systems, quick reaction capability systems and prototype intelligence software / hardware suites, as well as high-readiness facilities and business functions.

The indefinite-delivery / indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract has been divided into an unrestricted competition pool of 11 companies and a restricted competition pool, which is a partial, small business set aside with ten companies.

The contractors of the $5.04bn unrestricted competition pool include BAE Systems Information Solutions, Booz Allen Hamilton, CACI Technologies, Lockheed Martin Integrated Systems, Invertix, Mantech Mission, Cyber and Technology Solutions, Northrop Grumman Systems, Six3 Intelligence Solutions, Sotera Defense Solutions and SRA International, in addition to DI.

Companies selected for the restricted competition award include Absolute Business, Archimedes Global, Calhoun International, Circinus, Charles F. Day & Associates, E&M Technologies, Integral Consulting Services, K-3 Enterprises, Pluribus International and the Buffalo Group.

Work under the contract is scheduled to be completed by September 2019.
