Cobham has secured orders worth $157.5m to deliver electronic missile components for an undisclosed manufacturer.
Work on the components will be carried out by Cobham Microelectronic Solutions, a unit of the Cobham Advanced Electronics Solutions sector.
Cobham Advanced Electronic Solutions president Jill Kale said: “For over 25 years, Cobham has partnered with leading defence primes and the US Department of Defense for important missile programs.
“We are proud to support their exceptional record of excellence through continuous measureable improvements and block upgrades. We look forward to continuing to support these critical programs.”
The firm supports the delivery of mission-critical electronic warfare technology, missiles, communications, and radar applications.
Cobham develops radio frequency (RF) electronics, which enable missile guidance and processing. It also provides RF converters, synthesisers, and integrated microwave assemblies (IMAs).

By GlobalDataThe IMAs were made using the firm’s intellectual property for mixers, filters, and custom monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs).
In October, the company was contracted by the US Army to develop a next-generation explosive detection system.
Working with the army, a team from Cobham will develop technology for detecting landmines and other explosive hazards.
The three-year deal will also involve Cobham in the development of a highly specialised handheld technology demonstrator.
