Kratos Defense & Security Solutions has been awarded a contract modification to continue support for the US Strategic Command’s (USSTRATCOM) Joint Functional Component Command for Space (JFCC Space).
Under the agreement, the company will provide expanded satellite RF monitoring, interference detection, geolocation, and mitigation services to the JFCC Space.
Kratos will also protect the commercially-leased bandwidth for US Central Command (CENTCOM) as well as US Pacific Command (PACOM) using its sensors.
Kratos Technology and Training Solutions Division President Phil Carrai said: "As military communications increasingly rely on commercial payloads, newer, lower cost methods of providing resiliency to interference are fostering the convergence of US Department of Defense (DoD) and commercial protected communications applications.
The company will collaborate with JFCC Space’s Joint Space Operations Center (JSpOC) and Army Strategic Command (ARSTRAT) to decipher interventions in DoD missions.
JFCC Space supports national and combatant commander objectives, implementing effective space operations for missions worldwide.
