Jacobs Engineering Group has secured a $436m contract from the US Department of Defense (DoD) to provide test support services for its Aberdeen Test Center (ATC) at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.
Under the terms of the five-year indefinite delivery / indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract, the company will provide mission test support services to the ATC.
The ATC supports military and commercial developers by testing equipment throughout its lifecycle, from concept through to deployment.
Jacobs Aerospace and Technology senior vice-president Darren Kraabel said: "This contract award is reflective of recent investments we have made to broaden our global range operations and maintenance portfolio.
"We see tremendous growth opportunity for Jacobs in this market, and look forward to sharing our best practices in test and evaluation and asset management more broadly."
Jacobs had already been contracted twice by the US DoD to support the ATC through two predecessor contracts and one bridge contract.
