US-based Iron Bow Technologies has secured a position in the $5bn Information Technology Enterprise Solutions-3 Hardware (ITES-3H) contract to provide IT support services to the US Army.
Awarded by the US Army Contracting Command, the new contract follows the ITES-2H contract vehicle, which invited initial requests for proposals in 2012.
Part of the US Army’s efforts to modernise its IT network and services, the ITES-3H contract will include the procurement of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware, including servers, workstations, laptops, PCs, networking equipment and storage.
Iron Bow Technologies president and CEO Rene LaVigne said: "From command centre to battlefield, the army relies on best-of-breed IT products and services for communication and coordination to achieve its mission.
"Iron Bow is honoured to have secured the army’s trust in powering the military with the robust and innovative technology solutions that will propel its mission forward today and into the future."
Along with Iron Bow, 16 other companies were awarded the contract.
