The US Department of Defense (DoD) has selected iGov, a US-based federal systems integrator (FSI), and NIKSUN, a cyber-security solutions provider, to enhance the network capabilities of the US Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).
Under the terms of the solutions for enterprise-wide procurement (SEWP V) contract, the company will provide turn-key capabilities meeting DISA joint regional security stack (JRSS) requirements for full packet capture (FPCAP), analysis and retention.
The US Army and the US Air Force (USAF) deploys JRSS to protect its information networks.
JRSS provides firewall functions, intrusion detection and prevention, enterprise management, virtual routing and forwarding (VRF), and network security capabilities.
iGov CEO Patrick Neven said: "iGov has a twenty-year history of commitment providing cutting edge, advanced and effective service to the DoD and we are honoured that DISA has placed their trust in our capability and our company to execute this effort."
The companies will supply the network with drill-down forensics analysis, integrated performance reports on all traffic, a secure interface, and broad third-party compatibility.
