The UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) has awarded a contract to CGI to deliver data services to support enhanced decision-making in cyber defence.
The two-year contract will require the company to design, build and operate the Cyber Situational Awareness Fusion Architecture (CySAFA), which will provide data storage, management and distribution for any cyber-related data source.
The CySAFA will enable large amounts of data to be analysed for defensive cyber operations.
It was procured through the Crown Commercial Technology Services Framework, and will be developed under the Government Digital Services standard.
The service will use open-source, modular components to enable the integration of future analysis tools and data feeds.
CGI UK space, defence, national and cyber-security senior vice-president Steve Smart said: "We are delighted to exploit our renowned capabilities in big data analytics and cyber-security and look forward to delivering this highly agile contract.
